About Oak Crossing
The sidewalk lined, family-friendly community of Oak Crossing is located in northern Allen County, at the northwest corner of Dupont and Tonkel Roads in Perry Township, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46845.
The neighborhood consists of 165 single-family, site-built homes. The market price of homes range from $175,000 to $350,000. Most homes in Oak Crossing have continually appreciated in value. In recent years the increase has been approximately 8%. Over the past ten years, residents have enjoyed a 40+% increase in value.
Home lots average 1/4 acre. Corner and cul-de-sac lots can average closer to 1/3 acre. Oak Crossing maintains two multi-acre common areas for all to enjoy.
School age children enjoy the benefits of attending the highly-regarded Northwest Allen County School system. There is currently one high school, two middle schools, and numerous elementary schools.
It is anticipated the neighborhood will remain a popular choice for buyers. Development and continued growth of two major hospital and medical complexes three minutes away are a strong ingredient for the surrounding economic activity. Additional retail shopping centers are planned and/or already underway. A high-end apartment complex is adjacent to the south side of the subdivision. The eastern edge of the community is bordered by Tonkel Road. To the west is The Oaks subdivision, which is similar in style and feel as Oak Crossing. Adjacent to the north is a newer, higher-end community of Cedar Springs.
Main road and highway access are minutes away. Reach numerous restaurants, shopping malls, and popular Fort Wayne attractions are convenient to Oak Crossing residents. Reach I-69 via Dupont Road and Union Chapel Road for quick north-south travel with a nearby connection to I-469 and US-30 for quick east-west travel.
